Experience and education:
· MS or PHD in computer science, electrical engineering or computer
engineering
· 5 years industry experience in compiler development if MS
· Direct experience in the development of high performance
Instruction Level Parallel compiler (VLIW, EPIC, DSP)
· Experience in developing and delivering large-scale software
systems
· C++ or other object-oriented development experience
Desired Knowledge:
· Direct experience with U. of Illinois IMPACT compiler, or with the
Trimaran compiler infrastructure
· Experience with machine description driven or retargetable tool
chains
· Experience in architecting a high performance ILP compiler from the
ground up
· Experience with embedded computing toolchains
· Toolchain interoperability, integration and development experience
(assembler, linker, loader, debugger)
· Experience with profiling and profile-based optimization
· Experience with Unix software development environment and scripting
· Operating system/Run-Time System development or experience in
compiler/OS interaction
