Job Description Work with hardware design teams to recommend compiler architectural improvements Benchmark and analyze hardware architectural improvement ideas Recommend and implement new compiler optimizations Perform competitive analysis on DSP, PPC, architectures and make specific improvement recommendations to the design teams Implement necessary compiler improvements into the codebase Work as an integral part of the Developer Technology compiler team to develop and deliver new DSP, PPC compiler capabilities that span both the front-end and back-end of the compiler • Analyze internal and external customer applications and identify optimization blockers and recommend solutions • Participate in the entire development life cycle of the compiler including specification, architecture, design, implementation, unit test and verification • Reproduce and resolve issues reported by internal and external application developers • Create benchmarks and other tools used to measure compiler performance and efficiency
Qualifications BSCS/MSCS or higher 3+ years industry experience - Knowledge of ARM architecture - Skilled in C/C++ programming - Experience developing high and low level compiler optimizations for embedded processors - General knowledge of compiler systems, including assemblers, linkers, C/C++ libraries, compiler performance evaluation, and testing. - Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
